Reviews
This synchrotron is used for all kinds of research. We got a tour of the facility and really enjoyed checking this place out as first year physics students. The lady who gave us a presentation was funny and well spoken. The staff was really chil about us lunching there. It was a unique experience to be able to check out a synchrotron. The only downside is that the presentation didn't really match our knowledge, I felt like the presentation was geared more towards the general public while we would have loved to get into the technology more in depth.
From what I saw, an exceptional facility. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. A great tour which gave a layperson like me an idea of the scope of science which is achieved here.
synchrotron research facility around Paris region but it is not easy to arrive the facility by public transport from airports in Paris. Especially st night time you need to take a taxi to go there and need to know French for sure. Otherwise english is not enough most of the times in that area. Other than no need to mention how good was the beamline in soleil.
The French National synchrotron facility. There are roar constructions in the area, so at the time (2015 November) no map is really up to date.
Really lovely place to spend some good time with your family.
Nice place outskirt of Paris city. Awesome landscapes.
Such a nice place to do research
